This game is going to placed 1 year before the Clan Invadtion. I dont know how close this game is based on Battletech history or even are going to take into event what was going on in 3049?

Well, they were first members of Star League Defense Force stationed on Earth.

Then they fled to the north beyond the reaches of Periphery and they'll come back the same way (i.e. from north pointing at Earth).

That's some very major nitpicking there.

The Clans had better tech because they didn't spend all their free time blowing their tech base to smithereens, by the way.

The Star League Defense Forces were stationed throughout the Inner Sphere not just on Terra.

Also the term for the direction that they exited the Inner Sphere is referred to as core-ward. That is, toward the core of the galaxy. The opposite direction is referred to as rim-ward.

The accession of Archon-Prince Victor Steiner Davion in 3055 formally brought the nation into being, though in practice it had existed since before the Clan Invasion.

That's too much to explain but basically:

We had golden age (Star League).
Houses didn't want to be ruled (killed the ruler).
Kerensky saw there's nothing more than war coming here, so he took his force with him and said he'll return when time's right.
We nuked the hell out of each other in 2 massive wars.
Then we realised that by doing so, we lost all of our production and are now stuck with stone age tech (no nuke's allowed).
Two more wars which helped us gain a bit of tech.
Clans became a special society (Kerensky's already dead) and now they realised it's the time Kerensky's spoken of.
They invaded with the technology from the golden age they further improved.
They destroyed almost the whole FRR and Com Star helped them, but then realised they're coming for Earth (them).
With that in mind, they unveiled their massive army of golden age tech noone knew of and challenged Clans for their ritual combat.
The means were simple: If Clans win, they can go to Earth and rule there, if Com Star wins, Clans can't go further for 15 years (giving time for us to prepeare). The Com Star kicked their vatborn @$$€$.

That's as far as you need to know.

Read from the Terran Alliance, into the Terran Hegemony, into the Star League, Amaris Civil War, Exodus (then it diverges) and you have the Clans fighting hardship and their own civil war and another exodus while the first and second Succession Wars took place... ravaged the Inner Sphere... the 4th Succession War was my favorite time in the lore

They were formed in 3000. They left the Homeworlds in 3004 & began fighting in the IS in 3005.

oh so this means that the com star was building a secret force with very high tech Mechs??and they took down the clanners??

one more thing, why are the clanners potrayed as bad guys??
